13th Annual Fellows' Case Challenge

Showcase Your Clinical Expertise at Arrhythmia Update 2027

Electrophysiology residents and fellows are invited to showcase an engaging, educational case. Five finalists will be selected to present their cases live at the conference, held at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler in Whistler, BC, on February 1-2, 2027.


Who Can Apply?
  • Electrophysiology fellows
  • Cardiology fellows with an interest in electrophysiology
  • Residents involved in electrophysiology training

How To Participate
  • Submit a two-page abstract (~500 words, double-spaced) outlining a compelling clinical electrophysiology case.
  • The case should emphasize key teaching points and have significant educational value.
  • Your submission must include take-home messages relevant to practicing specialists.
  • Graphics are encouraged to enhance your case presentation. Be sure to include them in your abstract if you plan to use visuals.

Selection Process
  • The top five cases will be selected for a 5-minute presentation (5-6 slides including graphics) during the Fellows’ Case Challenge session on the afternoon of Monday, February 1.
  • Each finalist will receive complimentary registration and $1,000 toward travel expenses (reimbursed post-event with receipts) and compete for the title of best presentation.
  • Finalists are expected to attend as much of the conference as possible. We encourage you to connect with peers and leading experts in EP.
  • The winner will be determined by a vote from conference attendees and the planning committee, with the announcement made on February 2.
